Examples from
       Kenilworth Praying Hands      


These examples use fictitious names but are based on real requests to show how people have accepted the offer of prayer for themselves or someone they know or maybe a stranger met just once.
We may or may not hear any more.
It seems that quite a few are not church going people.

We prayed for God to bless them all anyway.

There are those with an illness or an operation or bereavement, those in difficult relationships at home or at work, those with close family or friends, those who are neither but have chatted about their situation and have accepted an offer of prayer.

After her daughters death, Flo had been distressed for months and doubted whether she believed in God any more. A friend asked for prayer.
Some weeks later we were told that there had been a remarkable improvement and she had become much more at peace.

Bill's employment was in doubt. His wife asked for prayer and renewed it monthly.
Now he has a clear way ahead and thinks God may have had something to do with it.

Dorothy had a gynae op. then a quick recovery, and thanks us for the prayers.

Jenny asked for prayer for daughter with an IVF baby.                  to the top


Jill a young girl was due to have scans for a suspected liver problem, got the OK and soon back to normal, thanks.

Young Anne disabled with suspected ME then diagnosed as Lymes Disease, and for her parents.
An on-going prayer renewed monthly.

Eleanor a 20 year old with Lymes disease.

Charles after a stroke. He felt better than expected after a couple of months.
His wife then asked for prayer to continue.

Emily had been desiring conception and having treatment. After being prayed for for a month she asked us to carry on monthly.
After six months she became pregnant.

Daisy, elderly,  with a fractured hip, not recovering well.

Bill having a prostate cancer op.

Helen with ovarian cancer.

Joyce on morphine for severe spinal pain.

Sara, a Hindu, was glad to ask for prayer by Christians about her situation.

Sarah with cancer, her husband and their children.

Edith, an elderly lady, was due for chemo before an attempt to remove as much of the cancer as possble. She was released by death into a certain life with God.
